Deafs, Choose Your Career Wisely!

Back to Chinese New Year period, I visited one of my former teachers and I was told that many deafs had often made complaint to school for being unable to get work and asked school to help them out. The teachers were rather annoyed with their pessimistic and negative attitude. They rather expect the deafs to be more independent on their own when they are no more staying in school life.

If you can't meet the field that make you like it yet, why not going to college or university? It at least, will help you to discover what your likeness or fondness hidden within your heart. It will also help you to make up and confirm with your real objection and start your adventure in commercial world. Don't afraid, it's not embarrassing to continue studies after school life. It just help to widen your knowledge and to improve your interactive with commercial world.

If you have meet your likeness on certain field but the environment in work place don't suit you, try to learn adapt yourself with the environment. The deafs always has unique ability, which is able to adapt themselves in everywhere when they are making new friend. Commit yourself to your work place for 2 - 3 years then you can change to other company. DON'T even resign immediately after you've just started working in one place.

If you come back to school and seek help from after a period you being unable to find job, it's REALLY embarrassing because you can't prove you are really independent. The school's responsibility is only educate and teach you, not become your search engine. Finding job got many ways. Going to company to apply... Searching job on Internet... Finding the available vacancy from advertisement on the newspaper.

If you think the low - life job such as cleaner, car polisher is insulting and embarrassing, please throw your negative attitude away and be an optimistic person. Every job is really clean and considered "HALAL". Finding or hunting for a job is NOT a crime at all. I admit, drug trafficker is really a dead sinful crime. But no one asked you to try this, right? Just find the appropriated job that suit with your likeness.

Oh My Handphone!

I'm getting sad and upset over my stupid handphone. This Sony Ericsson K800i is which I bought and own for 2 years . Now my handphone is a bit "physical - retarded" and broken yet it is still can be used. Only the joystick is completely broken and nut, only can move to right and to down. And also sometimes self-shutdown...Oh my gosh, why it happened like that?

One time, my handphone went crazy. Actually my handphone seems was working but when I came to online, my friend confronted me asking why I didn't reply his messages. I was shocked and stated that no messages received on that day. I borrowed the extra phones from my mother and found out that there really got messages. I feel funny as the signal in SE K800i was alright. So I masterly reset the handphone setting plus lost the GPRS setting. Aiyoo...I'm lazy to fix it. Hehe

Recently, I was thinking of wanting to buy a new handphone so I visited Sony Ericsson website. There are new handphones to be introduced but its date of release are still not announced yet. So I read those specifications to make survey and comparison. Upon learning the lesson I had with SE K800i, I decided not to buy the handphone with joystick.

In the SE wesbite, there are 2 types of handphones that grabbed my attention. They are SE C902 and G900. Those are available in red color. That's my favourite color ^_^

Sony Ericsson C902




Sony Ericsson C902 has a surprisingly small 2" 262K-color TFT display of QVGA resolution. As a camera-centric phone, the C902 bundles up a 5 megapixel auto-focus shooter offering a good range of niceties. Among them are face detection, image and video stabilizer, BestPic, auto-rotate, macro mode, photoflash LED etc.

Sony Ericsson G900





Sony Ericsson G900 is physically to the G700 with a 2.4" 262K-color TFT display of QVGA resolution. However the G900 has more to offer than its sibling - bringing Wi-Fi support and a 5 megapixel auto-foucs camera it looks set to cause high-tech high-end excitement.

As with the G700, UMTS support with video calls is also on board, along with stereo Bluetooth and an M2 memory card slot. Sony Ericsson also made a big deal of their Notes applications that allows you to organize your life with electronic yellow Sticky Notes.

Wow, there are a long list of specifications that those are featured. Some are totally different from the current and previous models. I don't know which one is the best. =S But one thing I only know that the price of those are not simply cheap..should be at least RM2K to 3K..@_@ Like that, I should save money from now on.. Expensive price but worthy to use. =P

Earth Day

HISTORY OF 22ND APRIL EARTH DAY



In September 1969 before it become the official Earth Day, U.S Senator Gaylord Nelson, a man who is concerned about the environmental issue and crisis, invited people into participating in a national service; the nationwide grassroots demonstration on behalf of the environment. He proposed this nationwide environmental protest onto the national agenda.

Oh yeah, it did worked and successfully grabbed the attention of the Americans. The story has carried and spread from coast to coast. Beyond expection, the responses were like a thundershock, which telegrams, letters and telephone calls keep flooding and flooding in the U.S Senate office. And then the American finally set a forum up to express their concern about what had been happening to the lands, rivers, lakes, seas and air.

Because of the massive numbers of responses to widespread environment degradation, Senator Gaylord was summoned for an environment teach-in on 22nd April 1970. Over 200 million people participated that year and so then Earth Day was officially established. Now Earth Day is observed each year by more than 500 million people and national governments in 175 countries.

With the celebration of Earth Day, I was really happy as the people still remember the Earth Day and greet others Happy Earth Day. But , I'm somehow a bit unhappy as people nowadays never show the appreciation to the grassroots level. As you know, our beloved island, the climate in Penang is getting hotter and hotter... for real you know! Truly crazy >_<

My friends who are used to stay in Penang or once been Penangites before, came here for a few days but complaint to me that Penang nowadays are terribly hot and they need 5 - 6 sheets to wipe off the sweats. During their stays, they ventured somewhere in Penang and noticed that mostly of areas has been deforested and cleared for development plan. They described Penang as the "concrete jungle" due to this reason.

I couldn't say they are wrong and I really have admitted that they are truly right. I still remember back the time where I was a little kid. Usually after the school, my mum'd fetch me home which is located in Jelutong. Ahh, quite far from Tanjung Bungah. @_@ On the way to home, I would enjoy seeing the tall trees along the road. Somemore, when getting through hillside road, there were many tall and big trees standing to shelter the road and the sky was barely to be seen.

But now? As you can see, many areas have been cleared and deforested for housing or development plan projects. Everywhere on the road is being exposed to the glaring sunlight. It's really a pain in our eyes when staring at the sky! >_<>

Should I try or Not?

This was my artwork from the final year project as well as graduation project at Equator Academy of Art in year 2005. My effort is still vivid in my mind, what kind of characters I should show/exhibit or how long I have spent time on developing those characters... That was very enjoyable which I had spend a lot of time to make survey on the artist's conceptualization like Darkstalkers or Horror creature. Since I was not very good in drawing real-like detailed characters, so I came to "chibi" concept with cute expression as you see in my artwork above.

Recently, I have browsed the blog website, "tokidoki" which discussed about his current development on his character. I was really surprised that he is really talented illustrator. My colleague told me that he is really very famous in UK and mostly in world. o_o I recall my colleague talking how he made himself famous in the commercial world. He was only doing his personal website about his artwork. Not very long, his website become the top ten. A company invited him to form a business. All his characters are sold in any form of product such apparels, bags, jewellery etc... He is damn great artist and illustrator.

Hmm, long time after the day of my graduation, I never practice on drawing character any more. Now I feel I am still far away behind if compared to him. (*sigh). My colleague who saw my talent pursued me to try to be like that illustrator. -_- It's really impossible and impossible mission... My talent has been buried away so long since I started working in same year after my graduation. Anyway, I will try to relive and revive my talent back.. Hehehe... I need some time and moral support =P to improve and strengthen my concept . My skill is still blunt, need to sharpened for time being before I could be better artist.

Well, I sometimes feel funny about this. Usually I always got many ideas, but still unable to project on papers or computer... Funny is it? It also happened to my colleague. He said he always got many ideas but when doing, it will be totally different from what he wanted. Haiz me neither. When not achieving what I wanted, I was really furious and sometimes put blame on myself... Hehe what to do.. I believe designer do experience the same way as I am... Everything is not so perfect and if there are really a perfect thing, then it would be flawed in no time. I believe, as if there are imperfection, why not making it perfect yourself? Like when you are drawing apple on white paper, the apple appeals beautiful but still look lonely in spacious white area... Why not adding something to make it more beautiful.

Like old days, I need to make some survey and think of what kind of characters I should show/exhibit and improve the expression. I was not really satisfied with my old artwork because on that time, I was kinda in hurry and didn't have to mold the proper espression. It was rather commonly cute but still not consisted of the horror expression. Hmm, I will try to re-create, redevelop, restyle and rebrand the old characters I did before. Who will know it would be successful one day. =P Perhaps I will try add female and other horror characters more. It is temporarily unconfirmed yet. Gambatte, I say to myself!!! =P

Tell me, should I try it out or not? Any advice? =P

Good or Bad Friday?

Hurmmm, yesterday was Good Friday, also called Holy Friday or Great Friday, which is usually the Friday preceding Easter Sunday . Somemore, at the same time, I discovered many good things happened to most of my friends or close relatives. yet I have crossed over mostly bad things.

While playing game on www:facebook.com, I discovered that there was some new secret eggs during the Egg Hunt and then I took most of my time to find the secret egg for Egg Hunt. However, beyond my expectation, my friend, Selina Ooi had successfully obtained the secret egg.. What a bad luck! Until now, I'm still finding over again and again..

Last night, my brother sms-ed to me telling that he was promoted to higher position and being offered a salary increment. He asked me to share this good news with my parents. However, my parents asked me when will I be promoted.. -_- like I know when I will be promoted.... Haiz...

Just my luck... I hope my luck will be much better afterwards now... =D
